Held in collaboation with the Cahoon Museum of Art
Ready to level up your Gelli printing skills? This workshop is designed for those with some experience on the Gelli plate who want to dive into more advanced and nuanced techniques—especially image transfers, which can be tricky to master from online tutorials alone.
We’ll take a deep dive into what makes transfers work (and why they sometimes don’t). You’ll learn how to select the right type of image, adjust your paint application, and align your timing and paper choice to boost your success. With hands-on guidance and real-time troubleshooting, you’ll gain insight into the subtle techniques that make all the difference.
We’ll also explore botanical printing, using real leaves and plants to create delicate, layered prints that add depth and texture to your work.
This is a class for curious printmakers who love to experiment, embrace imperfection, and want to expand their creative toolkit in a supportive, process-focused environment.
