Rocks wrapped in cotton and jute

Orleans Eco Art is a community-driven initiative facilitated by Creative Cape Cod, focusing on eco-friendly artistic expression and sustainability. It aims to inspire change and deepen connections with the environment through a series of on-site installations and events across Orleans.

Everyone is welcome to participate! Whether you’re an artist, student, educator, or community member, you can join us by attending our workshops, contributing to community art installations, or volunteering. For more details, visit our Get Involved page.

Some of our workshops and events are free, thanks to our sponsors and community support. However, some special events may require a small fee to cover materials and expenses. We’ll always provide this information upfront on our event registration pages.

Absolutely! We offer a range of family-friendly workshops and activities suitable for most people. We believe it’s important to make our projects accessible to a wide range of ages and abilities. You do not need to be an Orleans resident. We welcome residents and visitors from across Cape Cod.

We focus on using natural, biodegradable, and recycled materials to minimize our environmental impact. This includes everything from invasive species and scrap fabrics to biodegradable fibers and natural dyes. This is especially important when we are on public land.Private land owners may set different parameters.

We want to promote plastic consciousness as we are particularly concerned about the emerging science about the dangers of microplastics. While almost impossible to avoid in modern life, we do not want to add more plastic to the natural environment.

Locations are selected based on community suggestions, accessibility, and their potential to engage the public. If you have a location in mind, please contact us with your ideas!
